The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a ColdFusion/.NET web-based application and its backend services. You will work alongside other developers virtually on our software product. Commitment to collaborative problem-solving and creating a quality software product is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to work remotely
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings
  • Participate in design and code review meetings
  • Participate in requirements gathering and technical design meetings
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Work as part of the development group to enhance current software product (Concrete Vision), as well as assist in the design, development, and implementation of new product addon
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs that can be used by our customers and other APIs
  • Design and develop interfaces with third-party APIs
  • Assist in the maintenance and debugging of software product
  • Write unit tests and functional tests
  • Assist in review and testing of software product changes
  • Prepare technical and user documentation required for software product
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Assess new standards and technologies that can further enhance and improve our software product
  • Mentor other Development staff
  • Administrative items, including filling out timesheets
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • 4-year degree in a Computer Science related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in full-stack web development
  • 3 + year’s Adobe ColdFusion experience required
  • Microsoft IIS and SQL Server
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and Bootstrap
  • C#, ASP.NET Core/MVC/Entity Framework and Dependency Injection experience is preferred
  • Experience with Jira, Bitbucket and GIT is preferred
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Communicate well with team members remotely
  • Ability to multi-task and able to work on more than one project at once

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Remote
  • A dedicated workspace to work from without distraction and maintain a consistent professional schedule
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional travel for in-person staff meetings
  • Occasional travel to a production and/or site environment
